Fees and funders
Medicare
Please see your GP to obtain a mental health care plan (MHCP). A mental health care plan is a support plan for someone who is going through mental health issues.Together you and your GP will make the plan together which allows you to obtain a Medicare rebate for 6 of your sessions. After this you will need to return to you GP to review how you are faring and obtain an additional 4 sessions making a total of 10 sessions maximum, per calendar year. The Medicare rebate covers your for a certain amount of the value of your session any more that your psychologist charges is called a gap and is not covered by medicare.
NDIS
At Recess Psychology we can accept NDIS self-managed and plan-managed clients. Unfortunately we do not have capacity to accept NDIA managed clients at this time.
Private Health Insurance
Please contact and consult your private health provider to determine how much your provider can cover for you.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Cancellation Policy
Please give us at least 2 business days notice if you plan on cancelling an appointment. Otherwise, the following cancellation policy applies to all late cancellations (100% of consultation fee if less than 24 hours' notice or NO SHOW, 50% of consultation fee is less than 48 hours). If you we are able to reschedule your appointment within the 2 days you will not be charged a cancellation fee. Please note, cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare or your health fund.
Can you write a report for upcoming court proceedings, family court matters, or to help with immigration issues?
Unfortunately, not. To ensure that we provide client (you) focused and ethical therapy we do not write legal reports for court, engage in family court proceedings, or write letters for immigration issues.
